Abstract

The objective of the research is to account for the difficulties faced by university women, whether students, professors and administrators, when exercising motherhood both in the university space and outside it. But we also report on the organization that occurs in their homes, as well as the strategies they implement to reconcile work or studies with the exercise of motherhood. Among the conclusions we reached, we raise the inequity that occurs in the universities spaces and the social inequalities present among university women themselves, derived from social structures that empower them; we also conclude that it is necessary to generate university policies with a gender perspective that favor conciliation and also a better academic and labor development, in order to avoid desertion or school lag in students, and encourage the performance and development of academic and administrative -promotion, approval-, even with affirmative actions.
