El otro etiquetado en tiempos de COVID19

Abstract

In the context of social programs and public policies, the use of “labels” as a reference for their target populations, far from contributing to the solution of the causes and factors that perpetuate poverty and unequal access to human rights, reproduce the stigma, intolerance and even the criminalization of millions of people in Mexico. Despite the health and economic effects that the passage of the COVID19 pandemic has left in Mexico and in the world, our society is not capa-ble of activating the mechanisms of empathy and recognizing the own vulnerability that we are experiencing.
