Sustentabilidad Integral. Transiciones desde la pedagogía para la integralidad

Abstract

It starts from the context of the current crisis of a multidimensional nature and civilizational and paradigmatic scope, considering its great social and environmental impacts, to consider the need to move towards other more sustainable paradigms of knowledge and life. A brief critical analysis of the notion of development is carried out, in its economistic meaning of sustained growth, as well as of the notion of sustainable development from its predominant institutional reference. Given these, it is proposed as an alternative to promote the transition, the notion of integral sustainability, with its three components: planetary sustainability, sustainable societies and internal sustainability. For the generation and cultivation of the component of internal sustainability, of ethical values and of the spiritual dimension, which guide the paths for transition, the proposal of a pedagogy for integrality is presented.
